built in Rehoboth Beach along what is now called Baltimore Avenue.
A Little History…
about the place
Beach Nomad Brews started out as turning our passion for the Beach, Burgers and Beers into the newest destination for craft beer lovers in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. We always loved travelling and seeking out the best local hideouts featuring creative takes on traditional pub grub and small lot house-crafted ales and lagers. This infatuation for craft beers and eats formed the foundation for our Rehoboth Beach brewpub.
From our 20 Baltimore Avenue location our goal is to provide visitors and locals alike the best of the beach from a spot in our brewpub and patio to enjoy a variety of limited-release seasonal craft beers and a great selection of lovingly handcrafted gourmet burgers.
A place to congregate…
just steps from the Rehoboth Boardwalk
Our location was one of the first churches, Scott’s Chapel, during the founding of Rehoboth Beach by Rev. Todd as a Methodist camp retreat in 1873. The original chapel burnt down in a devastating block fire in 1913 and was replaced by the Epworth Methodist Church which relocated in 2008 leaving the location to Clearspace Theatre and several dining establishments.
In January 2018, Beach Nomad Brews took over the old Church Dining Hall for its operations renovating the space but retaining much of the historic character of the building from the old temperance movement pulpit which now ironically is used as our bar, to the church recital stage which today hosts local bands and performers on weekends. We have honored the bones of this historically significant building while the 4,400 square-foot property will now house a microbrewery, kitchen, a full service bar and a sprawling outdoor patio.
